Course contents


The half day session will cover the following topics:

• Regulation 3 & 13 of Management of the Health and Safety at Work Act
• Understanding the principles of safer manual handling
• The structure of spine mechanics
• Principles of ergonomics
• Manual handling equipment and their uses
• Practical exercises in manual handling techniques
• A written and observational assessment will be carried out during the training to ensure competence
