Course overview
This course is designed to ensure that workers are aware of their responsibilities in describing the signs, symptoms and different types of abuse, and to emphasise the need for reporting suspected abuse.

Who should attend
Health care professionals including nurses, doctors, HCAs, managers and those involved in providing services to vulnerable adults.

Learning outcomes
By the end of the course you will be able to:
• Recognise the signs and symptoms of abuse
• List the different types of abuse
• Understand the need for reporting suspected abuse

Training style
Courses will be held for up to 15 candidates, and will include a presentation and group sessions
to validate learning.
