Course overview
The aim of this module is to enable you how to create templates such as forms, reports and timesheets and record macros to automate your tasks.

Who should attend
Delegates should feel confident in the topics covered in the Excel Creating and Editing, Excel Basic Formulas, Excel Worksheets and Workbooks, Office Drawing modules.

Learning outcomes
At the end of the module, you will be able to:
• Create templates including formulae, formatting and locked cells to demonstrate effective use of this feature
• Design multiple worksheets determining relevant grouping of sheets for desired effect showing effective use of formatting across multiple sheets
• Change alignment and orientation of text, incorporating text control, to investigate the most effective methods for displaying data
• Apply borders and shading to worksheet data, producing a professional presentation of the data
• Employ validation features necessary to accept dates and displays error messages to ensure accuracy of input
• Edit templates, opened from template folder, amend the layout and save in an appropriate template folder
• Create a workbook, choosing a template with an appropriate layout, and save the workbook in an appropriate folder
• Create a form, selecting from available form controls, to provide an effective means of controlling data entry
• Automate repetitive actions by assigning macros to keystrokes or drawing objects to maximize efficiency
