Course overview
At the end of the module, you will be able to:
• Identify differences between files and folders, practicing naming conventions to ensure effective document management
• Navigate the screen elements available within the Explorer window to investigate the most effective way to select commands
• Create folders on local and network drives saving files into folders
• Manage files and folders using toolbar and shortcut menu features saving files into the most appropriate locations
• Use shortcuts and scraps to manipulate file and folder contents, creating shortcuts on the desktop or in folders
• Practice using Explorer features available within the Save and Open dialog boxes, to cut, copy, paste etc files and folders
• Search for files and folders using simple and advanced options to quickly locate documents
• Create compressed files using the zip feature sending to and extracting from a disk
