Course overview
At the end of the module, you will be able to:
Identify differences between files and folders, practicing naming conventions
to ensure effective document management
Navigate the screen elements available within the Explorer window to investigate
the most effective way to select commands
Create folders on local and network drives saving files into folders
Manage files and folders using toolbar and shortcut menu features saving
files into the most appropriate locations
Use shortcuts and scraps to manipulate file and folder contents, creating
shortcuts on the desktop or in folders
Practice using Explorer features available within the Save and Open dialog
boxes, to cut, copy, paste etc files and folders
Search for files and folders using simple and advanced options to quickly
locate documents
Create compressed files using the zip feature sending to and extracting
from a disk
