By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
Explain the main elements of the Disability Discrimination Act

Describe some of the ways in which discrimination against people
with disabilities occurs
Explain the definition of disability
Recognise some of the issues faced by people with disabilities
in relation to access
Review their own perceptions and attitudes towards people with
disabilities
Identify ways of making reasonable adjustments to the services
that they provide
