Learning outcomes
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

• Explain the main elements of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995/99
• Describe some of the ways in which discrimination against people with disabilities occurs
• Explain the definition of disability
• Recognise some of the issues faced by people with disabilities in relation to access
• Review their own perceptions and attitudes towards people with disabilities
• Identify ways of making reasonable adjustments to the services that they provide

his or her awareness of disability. It would be tailored to meet the specific needs of an organisation.
