Course aim
This programme is designed to advance the manager's skill in inspiring and earning the respect of the team through an open, honest and encouraging approach. By allowing them to work closely with their team members to build their confidence and identify development needs whilst leading by example to enthuse performance based on the business objectives, monitoring these to ensure they are met and that quality standards are adhered to.

Learning outcomes
By the end of the module, delegates will be able to:

• Motivate and inspire their team in order to maximise their performance
• Celebrate in successes and share in disappointments with their staff
• Understand the importance of team members being made aware of the bigger picture
• Set realistic but stretching targets in line with business objectives
• Monitor the progress of team members through weekly performance statistics-'Inspect what you expect'
• Build self worth and confidence in others
• Increase the business awareness of staff and develop team members to be self sufficient
• Provide open, honest and constructive feedback to team
• Gain commitment from others to develop where appropriate
