Overview
This is an intensive practical course designed to give a comprehensive
introduction to Sage integrated accounting software for small and medium
sized businesses. The course will give delegates a logical understanding
of the software and allow time for discussion of specific applications.
It will also deal with migration from a manual, or from another computerised,
accounting system.
Requirements
No previous experience of Sage software will be assumed or expected.

Using Customer Record to show opening balances, sales to date, outstanding
invoices and credit notes
Using Debt Control to highlight outstanding debts and issue statements

Using Sales Day Book to record invoices in the Sales Ledger and Sales
Day Book
Allocating incoming payments automatically and manually against invoices
Purchase Ledger
Using Supplier Records to show turnover to date and invoices awaiting
payment
Using Payment Control to highlight who is waiting for payment and to determine
payment policy in light of cash flow targets
Using Purchase Day Book to enter data into the Purchase Day Book and Purchase
Ledger simultaneously
Allocating outgoing payments automatically and manually against invoices
Nominal Ledger
Creating management reports including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet,
monthly budget comparisons, prior year report and Trial Balance
Automatic double entry bookkeeping
VAT calculations using simulated VAT Return

Getting information on stock levels and monitor sales performance of each
