Anne
Harkness
Anne founded Alpha Training back in 1987 and is based at our main
admin office but has been known to still train bespoke courses when
we get very busy. Still a trainer at heart, she loves 'that light
bulb moment' when clients understand a new system or programme that
will save them time and businesses money. Besides from keeping us
all on our toes at work Anne plays every racquet sport you could name,
loves travelling and walking Toby (see below). Comedienne and presenter
Ruby Wax's little known claim to fame is that Anne trained her for
two days - as part of our long-term contract with the BBC. Anne buys
the biscuits.

Wendy Webster
Wendy is our Senior Administrator and has been with us part-time
for nearly ten years and is responsible for all accounts. Her organisational
skills are second to none as she is a taxi driver to her two children
and also spends most of the summer in fields supporting her eldest
son - a talented young cricketer. Wendy is a season ticket holder
at Charlton so we try and keep her on different shifts to David
to ensure there is no rival chanting in the office. She works off
her passion for Waitrose shortbread biscuits by swimming and playing
badminton regularly.

Liz
Ellis
Liz is a Course Administrator and our resident Graphic Designer -
a recent degree graduate from the London College of Communication.
Liz attends her local church regularly and is very musical; ringing
the church bells once a month as well as playing the piano, the viola
and even singing in the Royal Albert Hall (not on her own!). Liz takes
part in several charity races each year, including the Great North
and South Runs, which means she gets away with eating more biscuits
than most of us!

David
Hayes
When he isn't studying English at Leeds University David is a Course
Administrator at Alpha Training. With all those long student holidays
no sooner he is gone then he is back for more! Aside from studying
and working with us, he loves football (Crystal Palace), music (was
in a band) and books (big Hemmingway fan). David says he loves working
with us because of the high standard and volume of staff biscuits
available.

Kathryn
Cornish
Kathryn is our Business Skills training lead. She has 20 years experience
of designing and presenting training courses in a wide range of subjects;
from assertiveness and chairing meetings to secretarial development
and telephone/time management skills. She has been with us at Alpha
Training for more than six years and helps us to shape our whole Personal
and Management Development training programme. Kathryn is also a Myers
Briggs practitioner. Kathryn has recently taken up running, which
she hopes will enable her to eat more cake. |

Emma
Johns
Emma is our part-time PR and Media guru and tells everyone how great
we are. She helps get us in trade publications, updates our website
and looks at new ways we can spread the word about our wonderful courses
and trainers. Emma used to work for the BBC and was also a print journalist
so if you need training on how to deal with the media then she can
help you with that too! She is a bit too healthy - never eats our
biscuits and enjoys going to the gym, swimming and weekly yoga sessions.

Toby
Toby is our occasional office dog. He is not full-time as all that
eating and sleeping sometimes requires concentration that cannot be
broken by telephones and office bustle. He sees his role at Alpha
Training as checking that we have not inadvertently thrown anything
still edible into the bins and snaffling up any misplaced biscuits.
